hello there, strange soul.

I’m so glad we found each other. How lucky we are to sail the same seas of time, to wander through the same doors at the right moment.

A little about me, since you did click on this page, after all:

I’m a queer, disabled author and suspected changeling. I live outside Philadelphia, PA with my partner and our perfect cat, Calliope. Beyond the Aching Door was my debut novel, followed by Beneath the Buried Sea, Holy Wrath, and Welcome to Blackbird Hollow. My fifth book, Between the Rival Courts, a prequel to the Fatebound Duology, released in May 2026.

Though I’m constantly inspired by new wonders, I’m almost always writing about doomed love, femme rage, tremendous yearning, queer resilience and stranger worlds. As Toni Cade Bambara said, “the role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.” So here I am, trying to conjure worlds that have moved beyond the oppressive systems of capitalism, colonialism and imperialism.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Temple University and enjoy a good cup of tea. When I’m not writing, you can usually find me curled up on the couch with a book and my beloved husband Jordon, wandering the aisles of a thrift store, or in a field with a horse named Castle.

I am represented by Ciara Finan at Curtis Brown. For rights and businesses inquiries, please head over to my contact page.
